Biography:

Dr. Jeff Keeling is a 2003 graduate of Commodore Perry High School, Hadley, PA. During high school he participated in a variety of activities and clubs including National Honor Society, academic decathlon (state music medalist), and band (District 5 Honors Band and Regional Band), among others.

Dr. Keeling attended Thiel College where he was the recipient of the Academic Sports League and Presidential Scholarships, majoring in English with a secondary education certification. Upon graduating from Thiel in 2007, Dr. Keeling was hired by the Commodore Perry School District, where he taught a variety of English classes for grades 8, 10, 11, and 12. While teaching at Commodore Perry, Dr. Keeling completed his Master of Arts degree in English at Youngstown State University. In the fall of 2011, Dr. Keeling was promoted to Dean of Students at Commodore Perry High School and subsequently to Principal in 2012.Dr. Keeling was hired as principal at Greenville High School in July of 2018.

Dr. Keeling Completed his Ed. D. at Liberty University in 2016 and his PA Superintendent Letter of Eligibility/IU Executive Director credentials at Westminster College in 2018.  In 2018, Dr. Keeling was nominated by Sen. Michele Brooks to serve as a member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education.  He subsequently was appointed to the State Board by Gov. Tom Wolf and has served as a member of the State Board's Council of Basic Education since September 2018.

Dr. Keeling resides in the Greenville Area School District in Sugar Grove Township. In his spare time, he enjoys working outdoors, restoring Ford F-Series pickup trucks, playing music, and spending time with his family. Dr. Keeling attends the Oak Grove Church in Mercer, PA where he is involved with the church’s music ministry.
