Science Department News
- All Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to join the Conservation Club. See Mr. Blatt for details!
- We now offer College in the High School courses for College Credit. They are Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Biology. See the course of study and Mr. Wig at the guidance office for more details.
- Look for teacher announcements concerning guest speakers from the University of Pittsburgh throughout the course of the year. Some anatomy and biology students will have the opportunity to attend open heart surgery at the UPMC Medical center in Pittsburgh.
Mission Statement
The GHS science department is committed to equipping students with the skills necessary to be successful in understanding all facets of scientific literacy and problem solving. Overall, our intent is to prepare students for college, trade school, or the work force through a lifelong curiosity for the sciences.
